Nick Edwards was a ‘zine editor in the 80s and he’s come back with a new ‘zine looking at the old and new. Torchbound is his new ‘zine where he looks backwards as well as the state of the art.
Here in the UK we have a healthy zine scene which Nick is part of, as well as Wyrd Science and Never Mind The Dice Rolls.

I loved this. If I recall Alarums & Excursions was one of the first APA zines where individual contributors effectively had their own mini zine / subzine in the zine work contributions largely unedited (I always pronounced it “Zeen” never “Zyne” btw)…
It was Jeremy Nuttall’s Demon’s Drawl that finally convinced Rik Henderson and I that we could do something similar, albeit both of us were still in school and using the library photocopier to print ours (Dark Elf) before Rik’s dad decided he’d go into the printing business and bought his own gestetner, at which point we went a bit OTT with zines like Amulet, Eh?, Cerebretron, Mango, and The Rats Almanac … Jeez, that was a whole lifetime ago, but I still hold a lot of good (and bad) memories from that time… 🥺
